The Nomad’s Dispatch | by The Next Caravan

Welcome to a different kind of travel journal. Once a month, I share 'zero-friction' expertise and stories from the field—from secret Parisian corners to the deep silence of the Sahara. Join our community of discerning explorers.

Dear Explorers,

Welcome to the very first edition of The Nomad’s Dispatch.

I created The Next Caravan with a simple belief: that travel should be more than a sequence of monuments. It should be a ‘Soul Quest’—a journey that lingers in your heart long after you’ve returned home.

Having spent the last decade guiding travelers through the golden dunes of the Sahara, the hidden patios of Andalusia, and the historic streets of Paris, I’ve learned that the true luxury isn’t found in a gold-plated lobby. It’s found in the silence of a desert camp at dawn, or the freedom of gliding past a sunset-lit Louvre on a bicycle.

In this monthly dispatch, I’ll be sharing the ‘Zero-Friction’ secrets and soulful stories from my scouting trips, helping you navigate the world with elegance and ease.

Versailles: An Exclusive Embrace

For many, the Palace of Versailles is synonymous with long lines and crowded halls. But there is a secret way to experience its grandeur. Imagine having the vast, geometric Royal Gardens all to yourself, as the morning mist still lingers over the fountains.

This isn’t about rushing from one selfie spot to another. It’s about a warm, shared moment among friends. Pedaling along the tree-lined avenues of the Grand Canal at 8:00 AM, our private groups feel less like visitors and more like guests of honor, breathing in centuries of history in absolute tranquillity before the gates fully open. At The Next Caravan, we make sure the logistics disappear, leaving only the warmth of a perfectly crafted memory.

From the Field: Sahara Scouting

I recently returned from the Tassili n’Ajjer. There is a specific kind of clarity that only the desert can provide. We are currently finalizing a new type of immersive expedition for late 2026—designed for those who demand absolute comfort without sacrificing the raw, nomadic heartbeat of the Sahara.

As a guide who has traversed these ancient formations for a decade, I have seen how the desert transforms us. We ensure that every detail—from the high-end private camp to the ‘zero-friction’ logistics—is handled, permettant you to immerse yourself in the profound silence and connect with the landscape in a meaningful, soulful way.

This journey is, above all, about the people we meet and the memories we build together. Thank you for being part of this first ‘caravan’. Seeing these smiles in the gardens of Versailles is why I do what I do: creating space for warmth, connection, and pure joy.

Whether you are ready to plan your next ‘Soul Quest’ or simply have a question about a destination, I would love to hear from you.

Warm Regards,

JB Dayak
