To truly understand Impressionism, you must ride through the very light, the morning mist, and the blooming orchards that inspired Claude Monet. We depart Paris together by train, stepping off right into the Normandy valley where our bicycles are waiting. We cycle along the peaceful, car-free Epte river trail, passing through fields of wild poppies and ancient stone villages frozen in time. Arriving at Giverny during a quiet lull, you will wander through Monet’s water lily gardens and historic house with your guide. Afterward, we hop back on our bikes to ride to a nearby panoramic hillside, where we set up simple sketchbooks for a relaxed watercolor introduction over coffee and fresh pastries.
